Rather than referring to a specific incident, Everybody Watches explores the action of protest through critters in Brooklyn, New York. The scene illustrates the disposition of deterrents by figures of authority when the masses question their practices. Today, we are all participants with the use of social media, observing an incident of the past, informed in the present, providing increased anxiety and volatility for the future. The moon watches with uncertainty, curious kittens sneak onto the fire escape to watch, pigeons line up to bear witness, critters peek through blinds, not sure if they can perceive what is to become.
